Another goodbye...blue sky...
After almost two years with the band saxophonist Ian McLeighs has left the band due to family commitments. Ian 'the sax' McLeighs has made a great contribution to the band with his sensual playing and great-fun personality. He will be truly missed.
Goodbye Ian, good luck in all you future endeavors.
Twice Grammy nominee John Beck, from progressive rock band
'It Bites', joins the Floydian Doors for a gig.
John Beck from 'It Bites' has written and worked on numerous number one singles in his career, on top of performing with musicians of the calibre of John Entwistle (The Who), Alan Parsons (Alan Parsons Project) and Ringo Star (Beatles). His contribution to music can be remembered with 'Calling all the Heroes', a number one single in the eighties. He joined the Floydian Doors for a gig in Bracknell at the Bridge. It was a great pleasure to have him playing with us and we hope to do it again in the future.
The band...........
For me personally, I never know what to expect from a gig full of covers bands. I have had mixed experiences over the years but fortunately I enjoyed tonight immensely. There were a few issues on the night but everyone there seemed to enjoy themselves and the music itself was pretty good. So on with the show and next up were the best covers band I have ever seen. The Floydian Doors are a seven piece and it should be obvious from their name as to what they cover. Opening with Riders On The Storm, I was instantly impressed. I’m not a massive Doors fan I have to say but the tightness of these seven musicians along with great vocals from husband and wife team, Nico and Naomi Di Cillo made everyone take note. They were even brave enough to play Great Gig In The Sky which is probably one of the hardest songs for a female vocalist to master but Naomi pulled it off hitting some amazing notes. They finished off with my favourite Pink Floyd song, Comfortably Numb, which again was perfect and I promise you I am hard to please when it comes to Floyd. If you like either of the bands they cover, make sure you check them out some time, you will be impressed!

"We awaited with anticipation for the band to sound check and indeed were privy to this [most unusual]. I immediately realised we were in for a cracking session; kicking off with 'Roadhouse blues' then a full plethora of Doors goodies performed to a very, very high standard by the lads. The interval was soon upon us and it arrived in what seemed like minutes from the start, so quick! Nevertheless, the second half got underway with Floyd goodies, this was as good as the first half with a great selection of numbers, every one a gem.
The Floydian Doors are a well suited bunch of lads and gel together very professionally, the ability to recreate the sounds and atmosphere of the 60s and 70s is second to none; add to this, not one bum note was heard all night. If you were unsure about attending one of their gigs, stutter no more and get there , you won't be disappointed.

Spotted the 'Floydian doors' on Lemonrock. Being a life long floyd fan, I had to check them out, glad I did, they were brilliant. Great Gig in the Sky was fantastic. Hope to see them some more.
